WATCH: Police searching for suspect after passenger kicked in the back on Toronto bus

TORONTO —; Police are asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted for allegedly kicking another passenger on a TTC bus last fall.

Toronto police said a man boarded an eastbound TTC bus headed to Finch Avenue and Yonge Street on Sept. 27.

Police said the passenger sat at the back of the bus when he became involved in a dispute with the suspect, who had his foot on the man’s seat.

Police described the unidentified suspect as black, aged about 27 years old, standing 6’0″ tall, with short dark hair and scruffy facial hair.

The suspect is seen on TTC surveillance footage raising his foot in the man’s face, which police said was “an effort to intimidate him.”

When the man got up to leave, police said the suspect kicked him in the middle of the back causing him to slam into one of the support bars.

Police said the suspect then exited the bus and fled the area. Investigators have released a video of the alleged incident and photos of the suspect in hopes of locating him.

He is described by police as black, aged about 27 years old, standing 6’0″ tall, with short dark hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a collared shirt with a pizza logo on it, glasses and dark shoes.
